Up until early November, UK companies were not required to file CSR reports. With the passing of the Companies Act; the largest bill to pass through Commons, directors will have to report on what they are doing and therefore, having to consider how it affects the community and environment. The Companies Act makes it mandatory for business to report anything concerning the welfare of the employees, community, environment and the company itself. It will allow shareholders and the general public to judge companies’ performances.

Op het jaarlijkse feest van de CSR-Chicks: “Dancing with the Blokes” is het idee ontstaan om een mannelijke variant van de CSR-Chicks op te richten. In mei vond de brainstorm met een tiental Blokes plaats.
Wie zijn de CSR Blokes?
De CSR-Blokes is een onafhankelijk en informeel netwerk van mannen die zich betrokken voelen bij maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen. Het netwerk is opgericht om kennis te delen en sprankelende initiatieven te ontplooien. Daartoe organiseren we 7 inspirerende bijeenkomsten per jaar, en hebben we een online community opgericht. Lidmaatschap staat open voor alle mannen met interesse in MVO. Op dit moment bestaan de Blokes uit ongeveer 30 mannen.
