Objective of the role (Why)

We’re looking for a motivated and impact-driven colleague to join the Global Sustainability Team as Sustainability Performance Manager. In this role, you will support the delivery of our climate and ESG ambitions by leading our carbon footprint reporting, managing our engagement with external sustainability ratings, and supporting the implementation of internal (primarily Scope 1 and 2) emissions reduction initiatives. You will also take ownership of a key dataset for our business: the CO₂ emissions data related to the vehicles we lease.

This is a high-visibility role with both internal and external impact — and an exciting opportunity to help shape the company’s climate performance.

Areas Of Responsibilities (What)

  • Climate Reporting & CO₂ Data Management
  • Coordinate annual carbon accounting for Scopes 1, 2, and 3 in line with GHG Protocol.
  • Track progress against our science-based climate targets.
  • Take ownership of the leased vehicle CO₂ emissions data, ensuring quality, completeness, and consistency across countries and systems.
  • Support the company’s regulatory climate reporting in collaboration with the Finance department.
  • Contribute to external and internal sustainability reporting (e.g., sustainability statement, CSRD, TCFD).
  • ESG Ratings & Benchmarking
  • Lead the preparation and submission of key ESG ratings and questionnaires (CDP, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics).
  • Coordinate input from relevant departments, including Risk, Compliance, HR, and Procurement.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and high-quality submissions.
  • Monitor results and support improvement actions.
  • Sustainability Initiatives – Scope 1 & 2
  • Support and coordinate actions to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions (e.g., green energy sourcing, energy efficiency, fleet decarbonization).
  • Work closely with operational teams and local entities to implement practical solutions.
  • Track project impact and contribute to internal reporting on emissions reductions.

Climate reporting and carbon accounting

  • Other projects
  • Animation of the Sustainability Community and feeding of internal tools: Sustainability section of Group intranet, of the Sustainability channel in the enterprise social network, country calls, etc.
  • Contribution to shared tasks such as response to client questionnaires or KYC files.

Key Interactions

Success in this role depends on strong collaboration across departments and countries. Key internal stakeholders include:

  • Finance Department – to align and support the production of mandatory sustainability disclosures (e.g., CSRD reporting).
  • Functional Departments contributing to ESG ratings – such as Commerce, Compliance, Human Resources, and Procurement.
  • Country Sustainability Managers – who lead local implementation and reporting across our international network of subsidiaries.
  • Societe Generale stakeholders (Real Estate, Finance, Sustainability mainly)

You will act as a connector and coordinator across these teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and progress toward our sustainability objectives.
