We are excited to be searching for a proactive and pragmatic Program Manager (Sector Initiatives Environment and Aquaculture) with an interest in Value chain sustainability to join our team, and we hope it’s you! Please note that this is a Maternity cover for 6 months.

Your role:

Within this role, you will be managing the Aquaculture Program. It is designed to impact the Aquaculture Program, meaning that you are responsible to contribute to the 2024 targets for Aquaculture on both the environmental and the social side; as well as contribute to meeting the 2024 Annual plans objectives on Better Environment for the Sector Initiatives Cluster (which covers other sectors than aquaculture).

You will manage and support the Senior Program Officer Aquaculture as well as the Program Manager Aquaculture Vietnam in meeting their 2024 objectives.

Within Sector Initiatives Better Environment, you will steer the Fruit and Veg Program colleagues, the Flower program and the Spice and Juice program at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make progress on expanding the concept of living wages for farmed seafood (pangasius and shrimp) at both certification schemes and retailers.
  • Oversee the Aquaculture Working Group on Environmental footprint as to meet their 2024 objectives.
  • Create a soy strategy for Aquaculture feed companies, in close collaboration with IDH colleagues working on Soy.
  • Fundraise for Aquaculture program beyond 2024 as well as fundraising for Product footprint beyond 2024.
  • Support POs and PMs to meet sector targets in Aquaculture, Fruits and Vegetables, Flowers, Spices and Juice
  • Communicate internally and externally on product environmental footprint roadmap.
  • Support creation of 2025 and 2030 objectives and strategy on Better Environment for the cluster.
