Last Mile Sustainability Specialist

We are looking for a hands-on, driven Last Mile Sustainability Specialist to support and accelerate our sustainability initiatives within our Netherlands operations.

This role acts as the key bridge between our Canadian Sustainability team and our local operational teams in the Netherlands. You will translate corporate sustainability strategy into real, measurable operational action — particularly in fleet electrification, alternative delivery models, and carbon footprint reduction within our sorting hub.

This is not a purely strategic role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both on the ground with operations and at the reporting level with leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Bridge Between Canada & Netherlands

• Serve as the primary liaison between the Canadian Sustainability team and Netherlands Operations
• Translate global ESG and decarbonization objectives into local execution plans
• Ensure alignment on reporting standards, KPIs, and sustainability targets
• Provide structured updates and performance tracking to both regions

Fleet Electrification & Alternative Delivery

• Support and coordinate the transition from gasoline vehicles to electric fleet
• Assist in charging infrastructure planning and rollout
• Monitor performance, cost impact, and environmental benefits of fleet changes

Cargo Bike Operations – Urban Deployment

• Lead the launch of cargo bike delivery operations in high-density urban areas
• Identify and secure suitable micro/mini-hub locations within city centers
• Coordinate project rollout with delivery contractors and operational teams
• Define operational processes and ensure readiness at launch
• Monitor performance metrics (cost, service levels, productivity, emissions impact)
• Optimize the model based on operational feedback and performance data

GHG Reporting & Carbon Management

• Build and maintain reporting tools to measure greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
• Develop dashboards to track emissions reduction progress
• Support regulatory and corporate ESG reporting requirements
• Identify high-impact carbon reduction opportunities across operations

Sustainable Hub Operations

• Analyze emissions and energy usage within the sorting hub
• Propose and implement practical reduction initiatives
• Work cross-functionally with operations and facility teams to improve efficiency
