Junior Customer Sustainability Manager, Utrecht

In this new role, you’ll be the newest addition to our Albert Heijn sales team. Your role will be to develop and set up Arla’s customer reporting engagement on sustainability and coordinate our work on sustainability towards our customers.

With the recently launched Future26 strategy, Arla has truly put sustainability and climate at the core of the organization. This involves taking big steps towards sustainable dairy production and to become carbon net zero.

To achieve our ambitious targets, we have created a new Sustainability & Agriculture Centre of Excellence (CoE). This Centre of Excellence will be responsible for leading Arla Foods into the future on sustainability, focusing on both the environmental and social dimensions.

We are a flexible organization, focusing to find the right person that is ready to support Arla in our customer engagement. You will be the one reporting to various external stakeholders (e.g. organizations such as Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Superunie). You will also develop, coordinate and set up how Arla will engage with customers on sustainability. You will report to the Customer Group Manager Albert Heijn, with a dotted line to our local Market Lead Sustainability & Communications.

Your main tasks will be to

  • Set up process and organization for customer engagement on sustainability;
  • Align and set up a system for coordination of customer requests and questionnaires;
  • Be responsible for prioritizing and answering requests and questionnaires for sustainability data;
  • Be the go-to-person in the organization in relation to customer requests within sustainability;
  • Participating in customer meetings;
  • Horizon scan and engage with customers to enable Arla Foods to support customers’ sustainability targets;
  • Feedback insights from customers to relevant colleagues to investigate new trends and commitments (e.g. soy, water, biodiversity, new reporting platforms).

In this role, you will be the central person in Arla NL/BE/FR organization on customer engagement on sustainability and you will work closely with colleagues in the regional and international teams.
