Here’s what we’ll do together:

G-Star’s Sustainability Department, established in 2006, is at the forefront of integrating sustainable practices into the core of our business. We are committed to advancing the use of sustainable materials and adopting circular design principles. Our goals include a significant reduction of 42% in greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods, services, and transportation by 2030, a target validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.

In 2018, we introduced the world’s first Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold denim fabric as part of our ongoing effort to innovate and scale up the use of sustainable fabrics. This initiative is part of our broader environmental objectives to enhance sustainability across our entire value chain, making it simpler for our customers to choose sustainable products.

Additionally, G-Star is dedicated to improving the social aspects of our business. We work closely with our supply chain partners to enhance working conditions, health, and overall well-being of the individuals within our supply chain.

As our new Sustainability Intern, you’ll help with:

• Research on specific sustainability topics (both social and environmental)
• Monitoring the social and environmental performance of G-Star suppliers (tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3), identifying areas of risk and improvement
• Support in reporting on G-Star’s sustainability performance to relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
• Communicating with suppliers around sustainability topics and G-Star sustainability requirements
• Ad hoc support on running projects on different topics
