De EZ-transparantiebenchmark krijgt een aangepaste opzet. In de benchmark worden de jaarverslagen van de 100 grootste beursgenoteerde en 79 grootste niet-beursgenoteerde Nederlandse bedrijven beoordeeld op transparantie op het gebied van Maatschappelijk Verantwoord Ondernemen. Het onderzoek wordt in opdracht van staatssecretaris Van Gennip uitgevoerd.

The ” Big Debate,” an interactive dialogue amongst 600 attendees of this week’s World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland on questions like the economic emergence of China and India, identified sustainability as the key issue requiring creative responses. One such response came today from Corporate Knights, a Canadian magazine on corporate social responsibility (CSR), and Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, a socially responsible investing (SRI) research firm, who announced the Global 100 Most Sustainable Companies in Davos.

Topping the list of BusinessWeek’s ranking of “The Top Green Companies” is an experienced hand at making the most out of changing regulations, DuPont. Back in the mid-1980s, DuPont created a profitable business selling substitutes for chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigerants that were destroying the earth’s protective ozone layer. In de gisteren gepubliceerde Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (de wereldwijde duurzaamheidsindex van Dow Jones) staat DSM opnieuw bovenaan in de sector Chemie. DSM bereikt daarmee voor het tweede jaar op rij de leiderschapspositie in de chemische industrie. De toppositie werd behouden vanwege het hoge niveau van integratie van duurzaamheid in de besluitvormings- en managementprocessen. Deze integratie van duurzaamheid in de kernactiviteiten van het bedrijf leidt voor DSM tot stabiele hoge scores op alle criteria.
