International organization active in renewable fuels

You are sitting at the table with colleagues from trading, operations and supply chain. Regulations across Europe are evolving rapidly. Renewable fuel flows are growing, audits are becoming more demanding, and transparency is no longer optional, it is critical.

In this role, you are the person who keeps the overview. The one who understands how physical flows, data and documentation come together. And who ensures everything is correct, not just today, but in a regulatory landscape that keeps moving.

The context

You will join an international organization active in renewable fuels across multiple European markets. Here, the energy transition is not a slogan; it is daily reality. Regulatory frameworks such as RED III and ETS2 are actively shaping how the business operates and how sustainability processes are designed.

Within this environment, you play a key role. You work closely with teams in, among others, the Netherlands and Germany and become part of a sustainability assurance function that is still evolving. Structures are being refined, systems are being rolled out, and processes are being future-proofed, and you help shape that journey.

What you will be doing

A large part of your work is about making the numbers and reality align. You manage renewable mass balances, review sustainability documentation and ensure that physical product flows match certificates and reporting requirements. Bio-traceability is not theoretical here it is something you actively manage from origin to end customer.

You are also closely involved in audits and compliance activities. You prepare for audits, maintain robust audit trails and act as a knowledgeable counterpart for internal stakeholders and external auditors. You understand the regulations, but more importantly, you know how to translate them into workable, practical processes within a commercial environment.

You monitor European and national regulatory developments and assess their impact on internal processes and systems. Trading and business development teams rely on your expertise when questions arise around documentation, feedstocks and regulatory eligibility.

At the same time, you look ahead. You contribute to system improvements, data quality and automation initiatives. Where can processes be smarter? Where can they be more robust? And how do we ensure sustainability assurance remains scalable as volumes and complexity increase?
