The role of Quality & Sustainability Director is to provide expert support and advice to the Europe region in areas of food safety, quality, legality and sustainability. As a key leader in the Quality function, the role helps set the Quality strategy for the business and is responsible for ensuring this is implemented in all sites within the Europe region.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Key player in the formation and implementation of the Regional Quality Strategy
- Ensure Hilton Foods’ Standard is implemented on all sites and drives improvements where necessary
- Responsible for agreeing policies, guidelines and codes of practice in relation to Food Safety and Quality and ensuring they are implemented on all sites
- Provide guidance to site Quality teams and Senior Leadership teams where food safety and quality issues arise
- Drive best practice on sites, sharing knowledge and experience as required
- Share best practice across the sites in terms of ways of working, non-compliances at audits, root cause analysis, etc.
- Managing quality projects within assigned timescales
- Keep up to date with food safety alerts and legislation having involvement with external research and industry bodies
- Initiate, manage and develop relationships with each site to support in a collaborative way of working
- Work closely with Hilton Services on factory layouts for new builds, extensions and refurbishments, ensuring food safety is at the forefront of decision making
- Represent Quality & Sustainability on the Europe Regional Leadership team
