Triple Jump is looking for a: ESG & Impact Officer – Financial Institutions

32-40 hours per week, initially for a period of 12 months. As ESG & Impact Officer you will be part of a team responsible for managing ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and impact within Triple Jump’s investment process. Your main role will be to assess and manage ESG and impact (ex-ante and ex-post) of private debt investments in emerging markets with a particular focus on the financial institution / inclusive finance portfolio. You will be responsible for the overall management of ESG and impact of a set of funds and mandates, as well as coordinating ESG and impact related technical assistance projects.  You will report to the Head of ESG, Impact and Knowledge and interact with different departments including Financial Institution Investment, Portfolio Management and Investor Relations. The post is based at the Head Office in Amsterdam or in one of the following regional offices: Nairobi, Lima, Tbilisi.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ESG and impact strategies for a set of TJ managed funds and mandates focusing on financial inclusion and be the contact person for investors on these topics.

• Perform and review ESG and impact analysis of debt investments and present opinion to investment committees.

• Monitor, measure and report ESG and impact performance at investee and portfolio level.

• Engage with portfolio companies on the implementation of their ESG action plans.

• Ensure compliance with ESG regulations and disclosures.

• Optimize Triple Jump’s ESG management policies, process and tools, and ensure compliance therewith, including through training of the investment team.

• Develop and coordinate ESG and impact related technical assistance projects.

• Facilitate third-party impact assessments and evaluations.

• Conduct and publish research on impact.

• Contribute to the development and fund raising for new funds and mandates.

• Represent Triple Jump in sector level initiatives and conferences related to ESG and impact.
