Currently, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Advocacy Manager to join the Impact & Economics team, led byHans Stegeman.

How you will make a difference

As an Senior Advocacy Manager you will manage a variety of activities that are related to what we call our ‘change finance agenda’, which includes advocating for effective (sustainable) financial regulation in the EU, campaigning for (inter)national policy reforms relating to Triodos’ five transition themes, such as a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty and creating the right policy conditions to enhance nature finance.

The job entails tracking developments on sustainable finance, drafting positions on relevant topics, and developing and implementing strategic projects related to our advocacy activities. In this role it is important to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the positions, ad hoc (public policy) interventions and collaborations. Not to forget, you are able to engage with relevant stakeholders on the importance of our advocacy work.

To help us change finance, you will:

  • Develop and implement public campaigns on our priority topics, together with colleagues.
  • Steer and execute advocacy activities, including consultations, calls for action, events, open letters, conversations, campaigns, and mobilising networks and communities.
  • Prepare positions and briefings as well as articles and opinion pieces and give advice to senior leadership and Triodos’ business units for their advocacy activities.
  • Create and maintain documentation and planning on our public positions and legislative trajectories and track the contributions of our different business units.
  • Manage interests of and maintain relationship with (external) stakeholders, for example by joining networks or building relations with politicians and like-minded organisations.
