Job Description

Purpose of the function

This role has responsibility for developing, coordinating and/or reporting on Catalysts Process Technology sustainability initiatives for the Amsterdam site.

This includes internal reporting and active portfolio management toward our Amsterdam 2030 goals and beyond. It will extend into supporting with Life Cycle Assessments, goal setting beyond GHG and Water, and sharing best practices and approaches.

Leading Projects and programs

Responsible for developing Amsterdam Sustainability Long Range Plan to execute the sustainability commitments.

  • Translate Corporate and GBU sustainability roadmap to an actionable plan for Amsterdam site.
  • Consider sustainability proposals with attention to factors such as cost effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs
  • Execute the LRP by bringing defined projects to AOP.
  • Act as Opportunity Manager for sustainability projects to bring to define stage
  • Develop with Amsterdam TR team project scoping for projects on the LRP.

Knowledge carrier (SME)

Act as SME to provide guidance and advice to the site teams, managers, and the site Sustainability steering team on identifying and implementing local Sustainability related initiatives to meet the targets.

  • Advise the director sustainability and divisional teams on current and future local trends and best practices
  • Keep track of local legislative developments with support from consultancy
  • Initiation of technology development programs to support sustainability roadmap.
  • Evaluate project profiles to ensure sustainability measures are considered and incorporated into design and evaluation of new efforts

Reporting of ESG

Prepare annual ESG/Sustainability reports

  • Coordinate data collection, analysis and reporting systems for the Amsterdam site that supports internal and external reporting requirements across GBU regions

Quantitative information

  • Technological concepts/definitions of a new, or part of, factory, on an annual basis 1-5 million euros
  • Promotes Manufacturing Technology development/innovation projects and programs to improve the sustainability of the different production processes.
  • Manages project team (< 10fte) in projects/programs from a non-hierarchical position
  • Number of parallel projects working on <5
  • Contacts outside PT: Research, Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Purchasing, Engineering
