Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) Internship

Are you looking to make an impact in a rapidly growing environment? Are you passionate about making Momo Medical more sustainable? We are looking for an ambitious student to conduct a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of our main product, the Momo BedSense, as part of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) foundation.

You will use a combination of research, data gathering, and environmental mapping to establish how we can make our hardware more sustainable. Your insights will help advise Momo on how to further increase its positive impact on the healthcare industry.

Topics you will be working on:

• Product Life Cycle Analysis (LCA): Mapping the environmental footprint of the BedSense across its entire life cycle, from raw materials to end-of-life.
• Environment: Using your LCA findings to identify carbon hotspots and finding ways to reduce our impact.
• Social & Governance: Reviewing how our supply chain and hardware choices impact people and ensuring our operations remain responsible.

Momo Medical is a fast-growing and ambitious scale-up in Delft that focuses on one of society’s biggest challenges: the future of (elderly) care. In the next 10 years, the demand for care will double, while 30% of the current workforce will retire. With our innovative solutions, we want to both reduce the pressure on caregivers and improve the quality of care. In short, we want to improve the quality of life for nursing home residents and increase the job satisfaction of caregivers.

What will you be doing?

• Lead the LCA for BedSense: Collaborate with our hardware, operations, and procurement teams to collect and organize data on raw materials, manufacturing, and distribution.
• Map our footprint: Translate hardware and supply chain data into an environmental impact baseline.
• Eco-Design Roadmap: Create a practical roadmap that outlines our key circular priorities and sustainable actions for BedSense moving forward.
