About the role
Due to long-term sick leave, Trust International is looking for an experienced Interim ESG Manager to take ownership of our ESG agenda.
A key priority in this role is leading the implementation of the Digital Product Passport (DPP)—a complex, business-critical initiative driven by upcoming EU regulations. This project requires coordination across product development, supply chain, compliance, IT systems, and external platform providers.
In addition, you will ensure continuity and progress across other ESG initiatives and act as the central ESG lead within the organization.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead Digital Product Passport (DPP) Implementation (Top Priority)
- Own and drive Trust’s Digital Product Passport program end-to-end
- Act as project lead across multiple functions: Product, Compliance, Supply Chain, IT, and external partners
- Translate EU regulatory requirements into practical, scalable implementation plans
- Manage selection and onboarding of DPP platform providers
- Define data requirements, product-level information flows, and system integration
- Ensure alignment with product development and supplier ecosystems
- Track risks, dependencies, and timelines, ensuring delivery against milestones
2. ESG Project Ownership (Broader Scope)
- Take ownership of all ongoing ESG projects
- Act as content owner for ESG topics, including sustainability strategy, reporting, and execution
- Ensure prioritisation and delivery across initiatives
3. ESG Compliance Projects (Project Management Role)
(in close collaboration with Compliance Officer)
- Lead execution of ESG-related regulatory projects, including:
- Environmental and product compliance initiatives
- Supply chain due diligence requirements
- Ensure alignment between compliance requirements and business implementation
4. ESG Strategy & Reporting
- Maintain and refine ESG roadmap and priorities
- Oversee ESG data collection, validation, and reporting
- Support ESG-related communication (customers, tenders, internal stakeholders)
5. Stakeholder & Team Management
- Act as central ESG contact across the organization
- Manage and support:
- ESG Specialist
- ESG Working Student
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Commercial teams
