Role Purpose

The Energy Analyst d will join JLL’s EMEA Sustainable Operations team, to support the delivery sustainability products and services to one of our occupier clients across the region.  These include:

  • Managing utility supplies and data gathering from a wide range of sources;
  • Supporting data analysis and reporting to produce monthly, quarterly and annual energy, environmental and sustainability reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on energy management, working with Sourcing and Facilities Management teams.
  • Support the development and application of sustainability assessment tools to improve the sustainability of Real Estate transactions and fit-out projects

What this job involves

Reporting to Global Sustainability Account Lead, the primary duties are to:

  • Work as a valued and integral member of JLL’s Sustainable Operations team;
  • Work together with Sourcing to ensure utility contracts are timely placed and in line with sustainability goals
  • Liaise with utility suppliers, brokers, landlords & agents to establish and manage consistent and robust data transfer processes;
  • Produce monthly reports of utility use
  • Support the operation of the JLL energy and sustainability data management platform
  • Identify poor data quality issues within databases and work with client to include corrective actions, including measures which improve the efficiency of data capture.
  • Undertake data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement and potential cost reduction;
  • Support teams with frequent updates about changing legislations / laws and market trends
  • Produce quarterly green energy and carbon footprint (scope1&2)
  • Maintain documentation relating utility procurement and reporting Engage with JLL facility managers to become the key point of contact for the provision of wide-ranging advice in relation to all aspects of environmental sustainability
  • Serve as point of contact for the utility & waste invoice auditing process and liaise with suppliers, brokers and contractors
  • Support the application of JLL standard energy & sustainability operating procedures and Playbook, including compliance with certified ISO14001 and ISO50001 processes where appropriate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly reports in a timely manner
  • Liaising with team both internally and externally to support client Energy and Sustainability objectives.
  • Technical competence in the identification and implementation of waste management improvement processes
  • Increasing the application of Energy & sustainability metrics and toolkits across the Work Dynamics business line
