Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The CRREM Foundation, an independent, newly-established NGO, is seeking a dynamic CEO to lead the organization as it expands its reach and impact globally. We are looking for an experienced and well-networked individual with an entrepreneurial outlook, and a background in real estate – preferably in transformation organizations.

About CRREM: The Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) is the leading global initiative dedicated to setting targets for operational carbon emissions in real estate investments. It is recognized as being at the forefront of helping the real estate industry address climate risks by establishing decarbonization pathways for operational carbon emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.

To date, CRREM has developed pathways for a wide range of asset types across 44 countries, helping investors and asset managers make informed decisions in line with climate goals.

Key Responsibilities of the CEO: The CEO will report directly to the CRREM Foundation board and will be responsible for:

• Leading the global expansion of CRREM and driving its continued evolution.
• Supporting and guiding the different governance bodies the CRREM Foundation to achieve key objectives.
• Representing the CRREM Foundation to stakeholders across industries and regions.
• Growing and safeguarding the CRREM brand; acting as its spokesperson and senior advocate.
• Leading the recruitment, development, and stabilization of a high-performing global team.

Team Overview: The CRREM team currently consists of three experts responsible for pathway management and operations. Under the CEO’s leadership, the team will be expanded, with a focus on growing CRREM’s presence in key regions such as North America and Asia. The CEO will evaluate the need for strategic hires and partnerships to ensure CRREM’s global reach extends beyond its European roots.

Location: The CRREM Foundation operates remotely, with extensive travel required across Europe, North America, and Asia to foster partnerships and drive the Foundation’s objectives.
