Executive & Office Coordinator, DACH & Benelux

Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)

Are you an experienced administrator who enjoys being the person who keeps everything organised and running smoothly? Do you take pride in staying on top of the details, anticipating what needs to be done and providing reliable support to a busy team?

If you have solid experience in office administration or coordination and enjoy taking ownership of the day-to-day work that keeps an office functioning effectively, this could be the opportunity for you.

Based in The Hague, you will play an important role in the day-to-day organisation and administration of our DACH & Benelux team. Working across our offices in The Hague and Brussels and closely with colleagues in Berlin, you will help ensure that our offices, meetings, administration and team activities are well organised and run smoothly.

You will join an international organisation and work with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries, providing the dependable administrative support that enables the wider team to work effectively.

Through your work supporting the team and helping our operations run smoothly, you will also contribute to MSC’s wider mission to safeguard the health of the world’s oceans and secure seafood supplies for the future.

The role will provide direct support to the Program Director, DACH & Benelux and will directly look after our office facilities and administration in The Hague (NL) and in Brussels (BE). You will be a key component of the Benelux team, enabling it to function dynamically and efficiently. You will work closely with our team in Berlin (GER), and support on cross-cutting events to ensure MSC’s public-facing engagement runs smoothly and professionally.

We’re looking for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills, who can manage and support a programme of work across multiple countries.  You will also be engaging and working with teams elsewhere in Europe and beyond, so Dutch speaking (native), excellent English language skills are essential, and German speaking is a highly preferential. We are looking for a candidate that is people-centred, energetic, bringing a positive and can-do approach to all that we do in a busy and highly dynamic environment.

If this opportunity has inspired you, please apply here and send us your CV in English and your cover letter in Dutch.

We look forward to hearing from you!

We’re an international organisation and our employees all demonstrate a level of cultural awareness, and value the diverse views and approaches relevant to the MSC program.

The MSC is committed to flexible working. The successful candidate will need to work from the Netherland office (in the Hague) for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month. The remaining time can be worked from home.  During the onboarding process, hybrid work may require more in-office work than remote work.

Please be aware, we are only able to progress with candidates who already have the right to work in the location(s) specified in this advert.

The MSC’s vision is for the world’s oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations.  Today, the impacts of overfishing and climate change pose an even greater threat to the ocean and fish stocks. Through our internationally recognised certification and ecolabeling program, well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded throughout the seafood supply chain. Over 700 fisheries around the world, representing 19% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC program and MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 66 countries. Through partnerships and collective endeavour, we are on a mission to end overfishing.
