Sustainable Investing Specialist

To further strengthen our capacities in serving clients with world-leading sustainable investment expertise, we are looking for a Sustainable Investing Specialist based at our office in Rotterdam.

You will become part of the Sustainable Investing (SI) Thought Leadership team within Robeco’s SI Center of Expertise. Part of the Investment domain, the SI Center of Expertise consists of 50 sustainability professionals based in Rotterdam, Zurich, Hong Kong and Singapore. Besides the SI Thought Leadership team, the Center comprises several other teams: SI Research, Active Ownership, and SI Client Portfolio Management.

The SI Thought Leadership team is responsible for developing, maintaining and monetizing sustainable investment frameworks, like Sustainable Development Goal corporate and country scores, forward-looking climate and biodiversity metrics and the country sustainability framework. The team is also responsible for overseeing ESG integration and consistent use of the SI frameworks in products and solutions across the organisation. Furthermore the team contributes to Robeco’s leadership in the field of SI by publishing (academic) articles, opinion papers and whitepapers.

In this role, you will support the further development and implementation of Robeco’s SI intellectual property and ensure that it contributes to Robeco’s commercial goals and SI leadership. Next to further developing our SI frameworks from a content perspective, you’ll also be working closely with colleagues across the organization to make sure the frameworks are implemented and used by our investment teams, client solutions, product development, data systems, SI research and active ownership.

What will you do:

• Further development of our sustainable investing frameworks across all topics, including country research, controversy screening, social framework, SDGs, climate and biodiversity.
• Further embedding of our sustainable investing frameworks across the firm, including integration in products and client solutions and integration in data systems.
• Contribute to monetization of our sustainable investing frameworks via client meetings and collaboration with sales, investment teams, and product management.
• Contribute to Robeco’s sustainable investing thought leadership through (academic) publications, presentations and collaboration in external networks.
