Taking ownership to develop a Sustainability Strategy and provide business excellence in executing on a sustainable way of working to PVM, our Business partners and its suppliers

You & your job

You’re on your way to make an important contribution to the professionalisation of the Procurement and Vendor Management Team. With your expertise you will be responsible for developing a Sustainability operating model, that can be used to broaden its influence into the everyday workings of not just PVM, but also Rabobank.

You have a deep interest and knowledge of the sustainability impacts to businesses from suppliers. Taking a broader view of the actions to create a uniform approach on the activities that deliver on these goals comes natural to you. You are well aware of the fact that obtaining ongoing performance on our Sustainability targets is far more challenging than it sounds.

You can make a difference by actively applying Sustainability methodologies, based on the latest market developments. You have the capabilities putting in place a value chain, across PVM, that delivers on Rabobank’s and PVM’s Sustainability position with its peers. Your role is to design and develop an operating model for Sustainability actions in Procurement that delivers on our local and global Sustainability goals.

Working closely together with your PVM colleagues and challenging them to contribute to the execution of your new developed model gives you the right energy. Main responsibilities

• Sustainability is in your DNA and you are a natural talent to convince and influence stakeholders
• You have experience in what it means to bring a Sustainability culture to a Procurement team and to embed its thinking and purpose
• You are experienced in developing and executing a Supplier Sustainability strategy within a team that brings Sustainability goals and actions to life
• You are the spider in the web and owner of designing and executing Sustainability initiatives in the life cycle processes of a team and its suppliers
• You use proven methodologies for the implementation of change and improvement processes, keep track of Global Sustainability impacts and trends and involve other subject matter experts in the development of plans
• You translate Global Sustainability Policies and Standards into our local requirements including trends and other possibilities into Supplier Management practices.
• You have a Liaison role between the PVM Team and to functional departments (Global Sustainability), Risk, Legal, and the business.
