Sustainability (ESG) Advocacy at TIP
Our Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) strategy “For Generations to Come – Paving the road to sustainability” is composed of seven core programs. Ranging from an ambitious carbon footprint program to unlocking sustainable financing instruments as part of our green financing program. Purpose & Responsibilities
We are looking to hire a Sustainability (ESG) Advocacy Manager with focus on supporting TIP’s ESG/EHS Director aiming at executing our ESG strategy. This role will assume responsibility for our corporate advocacy efforts and strengthen our ESG compliance function.
The Sustainability (ESG) Advocacy Manager will act as a liaison between TIP’s senior management, industry representatives and national / supranational agencies. You will grow effective relationships internally as well as externally with agencies, industry associations, and coalitions involved with our industry’s agendas.
To ensure success you need to have a strong background in ESG. Knowledge of the legislative process and a clear understanding of corporate advocacy is an asset. Top candidates have excellent communication and people skills and are detail-oriented.
The Sustainability (ESG) Advocacy Manager can be based anywhere in Europe and will report with a solid line to the ESG/EHS Director. The main responsibilities of this role are:
- Taking ownership for key elements of our ESG strategy
- Deputizing ESG/EHS Director
- Strengthening TIP’s ESG governance by aligning to existing frameworks (i.e. GRI) and upcoming regulations (i.e. CSRD)
- Drafting a TIP Corporate Advocacy Strategy
- Monitoring legislative activity and proposing new bills to respond to new issues or changing conditions
- Gaining support from key stakeholders such as legislators, government officials, members of the media or community leaders
- Communicating about environment, social & governance topics
- Reporting on ESG subjects towards senior management, external and internal stakeholders
