Your Role

In your role, you will be part of the Impact Innovation team and responsible for achieving our emission reduction targets in scope 1, 2 and 3. To get there, you will develop and implement our emission reduction strategy and report on Fairphone’s progress towards our targets. Since Fairphone does not own a production site but works with manufacturing partners for our products, you will spend most of your time reducing our scope 3 emission. This means that you will be working hand in hand with various Fairphone teams internally, engaging with our suppliers and supporting them on their journey to reduce emissions related to our products.

On top of that, you will manage our climate conscious ambitions for our key products, and drive climate change mitigation solutions that fit our core business and impact agenda. Finally, you will maintain our GHG inventory by accounting for and tracking our scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Also other environmental impacts are not new to you, and you know how to avoid just shifting a problem from one impact area to another.

You are someone who has good knowledge of and experience in developing GHG emissions reduction strategies and implementing company-wide programs in a business environment, also in collaboration with suppliers. You enjoy mobilising others to get behind your agenda. You speak the language of both the private & public sector, and have an ambitious, creative and pragmatic mindset that translates into innovative approaches and high impact.
