SUMMARY:Workshop 'Blending requirements are on their way! What now?'
DESCRIPTION:Dutch producers of plastic products will face the so-called ble
 nding requirements from 2027 onwards. This means that a certain minimum pe
 rcentage of recycled plastic must be used in the production of new product
 s. Packaging may be the first to be affected.\n\nMany questions remain. Le
 t us not wait\, but see economic opportunities and be prepared together. T
 herefore\, in this workshop we will discuss the challenges and explore and
  work on solutions together.\n\nOn the agenda:\n\n 	What is it? What does 
 it mean for me?\n 	Why do I want it from an economic perspective?\n 	What 
 are the intended requirements and expectations of the legislator(s)? When?
 \n 	What if I do nothing?\n 	What is already happening in practice today?\
 n 	How do I tackle this?\n 	What are we running into?\n 	How can we act to
 gether on this?\n\nGeoffrey Schouten of the Circular Plastics Initiative o
 pens the workshop and introduces the issue . We then approach the blending
  requirements from four angles\, for which we have invited experts in thei
 r disciplines:\n\n 	Envisaged legislation and enforcement: Rob Verhagen - 
 OPack\n 	Analysis and characterisation: Harry Philipsen - Envalior\n 	Prac
 tice: Gerrit Klein Nagelvoort - Veolia Polymers\n 	Nomenclature and digita
 l product passport: Frans Beckers - Cirmar\n\nAfter the introductions\, th
 e four perspectives will be explored in more detail by all participants\, 
 with a strong focus on solutions.\nThis online workshop is a collaboration
  between TI-COAST\, Circular Plastics Initiative and Cirmar. Our goal: tak
