The conference focuses on the large-s cale valorisation of former foodstuffs and food by-products into animal fe ed\, resulting in more sustainable animal products. The conference will br ing together leading actors from across the globe who are working on makin g animal products more sustainable by utilizing food waste as feed.\n\nThe two-day conference will convene companies\, public organizations\, scient ific organizations and civil society organizations with shared ambitions t o scale circular solutions that reduce food waste\, improve resource effic iency and lower emissions across the food and feed supply chain.\nWhy\nFor mer foodstuffs and side streams from retail and food production offer majo r opportunities to reduce food waste\, lower CO2 emissions\, and strengthe n strategic autonomy in feed and animal protein production. However\, larg e-scale valorisation for more sustainable animal products requires aligned business models\, enabling regulation\, robust impact accounting and coop eration across the entire chain. By sharing best practices and concrete so lutions\, this conference aims to accelerate implementation and scaling ac ross Europe and other parts of the world.\nOrganizer &\; partners\nFood Waste Free United is the Dutch public private foundation committed to red ucing food waste by 50% by 2030. In this collaboration\, Wageningen Univer sity &\; Research (WUR) plays a pivotal role by providing scientific ex pertise and innovative solutions to accelerate the transition toward circu lar food and feed systems. Within the Circular Animal Protein Chain\, stak eholders have been collaborating for several years to transform food side streams into more sustainable animal products through feed. The conference is powered by the Ministry of Agriculture\, Fisheries\, Food Security and Nature.\nParticipants\nAll international partners who can actively contri bute to scaling circular animal products  are invited to the conference\, including retailers\, food manufacturers and processors\, feed producers and suppliers\, wholesalers and food service chains\, industry association s\, non-profit organizations\, knowledge and research institutes\, as well as policymakers and regional\, national and local public authorities.\nPr ogramme\nOn stage - day 1\nThe morning programme of Day 1 will be plenary. Frontrunners from across the food and feed chain will share practical exp eriences\, successful partnerships\, policy perspectives and innovative so lutions that contribute to more circular and sustainable meat\, eggs and d airy. In the afternoon\, you can choose from three break-out sessions\, ea ch exploring a different aspect of the transition towards more circular an d sustainable animal food products. We will end the day with a networking dinner in the greenhouse on location.\nSite visits - day 2\nOn Day 2 we le ave the conference room and see circular feed in practice at Duynie Multif eed\, Darling Ingredients and/or Grassa.
